Our best laid plans to open Strudel’s Cafe and Pub for the season have been put on hold by a few serious glitches that we couldn’t overcome. First of all, our very expensive Rheem high-efficiency, high-capacity, commercial hot water heater which is necessary to open the kitchen, is not working. Then Susan broke a bone in her foot which made managing a new business expansion very difficult. So here it is the 2nd week in July and we’ve decided to open the Pub to private parties only but still have a limited supply of beer, wine, and soft drinks for sale through the front office. We regret not being able to fulfill this much anticipated need, but we aren’t going to do something until we can do it right.
