We are asked on a regular basis, “what are the hours that Rocky Mountain National Park is open?” The answer is; they never close. Trail Ridge road over the top will close for the winter and other sections may be temporarily closed for maintenance or emergencies, but the majority of the park is open 24/7 all year.
Likewise, Estes Park and The Appenzell Inn are also open all year because no matter the weather, Estes Park, Colorado is a wondrous place to be. It may be cold and blowing but it gives a different perspective to the raw side of nature. How do the animals survive, especially the herds of Elk that you’ll see? How did the Native Americans who first called this area home, get through the harsh winters?
And then you come back to your very comfortable room at The Appenzell Inn, turn on the fireplace, fill up the Jacuzzi, pour a glass of wine and truly relax while watching the snow fall over the mountains. Your favorite Estes Park hotel awaits your arrival.
