As we get closer to opening Strudels Cafe for breakfast and dinner, we find there are many fun parts of the business; like attending shows put on by the various suppliers. Today it was a show put on by Shamrock Foods at the Merchandise Mart in Denver and we had a great time sampling different suppliers foods and looking at all the neat and cleaver merchandise and equipment.
We have made it our goal to offer a “real” breakfast at The Appenzell Inn as opposed to the corporate blandness that most hotels call a Continental Breakfast. Next we hope to offer a deli-style lunch-to-go for the guest who wants to spend the day in Rocky Mountain National Park hiking and sightseeing without having to make another stop on the way in.
In the evening we plan on serving a varied dinner menu with some traditional Swiss dishes which can include Italian and French as well as German. We’ll also offer American classics including a darn good burger with fries. For dessert we’ll have ice cream’s, gelatos and sorbet’s and of course our signature Apple Strudel.
In order for The Appenzell Inn to be your favorite Estes Park hotel, we feel we need to offer more to our customer than what you would find at your typical hotel; better rooms, a better property, and more amenities of a higher quality. We aren’t where we want to be yet, but every year we add to or improve what we offer at The Appenzell Inn, Estes Park, Colorado.
