Map and Directions

Area Map:  We recommend going to Mapquest and download whatever you need.  Sometimes Mapquest or AAA will route you from the airport to Estes via Hwy 34. It’s a lovely drive but it is about 15-20 minutes longer.  Also check with your car rental agency to see how they handle photo-only toll roads.  The shortest route from the airport uses E-470 which is one of these toll roads.

The Appenzell Inn is located at 1100 Big Thompson Avenue, Estes park, CO 80517 which is the Estes Park section of Hwy. 34 going from Loveland through the National Park to Granby.  (Before you get to Estes it’s called the Big Thompson Canyon Rd.)  We sit on a higher plateau with great mountain views, close to town and Estes Park Attractions.

WARNING!  Google Maps refuses to change where they have located our property.  They will show you a picture of The Best Western which is 1/4 mile away and isn’t as pretty as we are.

Coming from Loveland it’s easy: when you arrive in Estes Park look for us on the left as soon as the speed limit changes to 35MPH.

If you arrive on Hwy 36 or 7 you will come to the 36/34 intersection.  Make a sharp right to go east toward Loveland on 34; go past the Visitor Center which is immediately on your right; then 1/2m and just before the 40 MPH sign, turn right into our drive.
