When the kids ask; “What’s there to do besides hiking Rocky Mountain National Park?” we’ve got the answers.  Although we’ve spent the last 32 years exploring Rocky Mountain National Park, we also enjoy the Estes Park trails leading from The Appenzell Inn’s backdoor which connect you to Estes Lake and various rivers for fishing or canoeing or you can stroll downtown to experience Estes Park events depending on the time of year you visit.  In the evening or on a rainy day you can find movies at two Estes Park theaters. Our indoor pool is always warm and inviting; open all day until 10PM.  The kids may also enjoy bumper cars, miniature golf, or the Alpine slide in Estes Park.  There also a host of climbing walls, trout ponds and wildlife to see.  And don’t forget the Aerial Tram; that is always a favorite.  There are plenty of other Estes Park attractions that the family will love but this gives you a little peak.
