Ziss Boom Bah

Monday, June 27th, 2011

It’s the answer to an old joke from Johnny Carson where he would Divine the answer to a question that was in a sealed envelope.  The question, of course was, “what is the sound a sheep makes after swallowing a lit stick of dynamite.” Sorry,-but…

You can have the Ziss Boom by coming up to Estes this weekend to view the fantastic fireworks over Lake Estes.  We have several choice openings remaining at The Appenzell Inn, so give us a call.

June is Perfect

Sunday, May 29th, 2011

June is the perfect month to book your lodging at The Appenzell Inn in Estes Park, Colorado.  Trail Ridge Road is open over Rocky Mountain National Park, the vegitation is green, the wildlife is all over the place, and most hiking trails are open.  The scenery is spectacular and the summer crowds are still a few weeks away.  As of June 13, the weather has been perfect; cool nights, warm sunny days with a breeze.  Don’t let it go to waste, come on up.

The rates at the Appenzell are lower during June and filling fast, so don’t delay.  Give us a call or book on-line.  Thank You.

Lodging for Memorial Weekend

Friday, April 22nd, 2011

Lodging for this Memorial Day Weekend at The Appenzell Inn is available at special rates for a one day stay.  Our indoor pool is always open and most rooms have a 2-person Jacuzzi and Fireplace.

Hopefully Trail Ridge Road over the top of Rocky Mountain National Park will be open by Memorial Weekend; the sightseeing will be tremendous.  There’s 15 feet of snow on top!

And we still have our Spring Break Special in effect until May 25, offering a free night if you stay 2 or more nights.  It’s finally warming up and greening up and we’ll be putting out flowers as soon as it’s safe (July?). So plan your trip to Estes Park today.

And the weather, as always, will be perfect.  Thank you for your consideration.

Estes Park Lodging is for the Birds

Sunday, March 27th, 2011

Estes Park hotels are in a great Birding area, the Robins and Bluebirds are already here along with many other migratory birds that either make their home in Estes Park, or are just passing through.

Birdwatching is a popular pass-time and Estes Park and your Rocky Mountain National Park are wonderful places to see a great variety of birds.

The grounds of The Appenzell Inn are heavily landscaped with a natural look that entices wildlife and especially birds.  From those big clumsy Ravens to several species of hummingbird to hawks and owls, you are very apt to see them here.

Check our Spring Special with a free night for a stay of two nights or more and see why The Appenzell Inn should be your favorite Estes Park hotel.  Thank you for your consideration.

Easter Bunny is Late

Thursday, March 17th, 2011

Easter comes on April 24 this year which puts it at a time when the weather is warming, many hiking trails are clearing, but there’s still plenty of snow higher up in your Rocky Mountain National Park to enjoy.

At The Appenzell Inn, we will be extending our special offer of a free night added to any stay of two or more nights.  We are also allowing single night stays at the normal rate.

Come on up any time from now through Memorial day and enjoy the best that Estes Park, Colorado has to offer at very attractive rates.  Thank you for considering The Appenzell Inn, your favorite Estes Park hotel.

Spring is Almost Here

Monday, February 21st, 2011

It might just be a short term phenomena or global warming, but it seems like our weather here in Estes Park is warming up a few weeks earlier than usual.  We are used to the odd warm day in winter and a freak snow shower in July, but in general, the springs are nicer.  June seems like July, May like June, you get the drift.  I don’t think we’re complaining yet, as it might cause problems down the road, but for now we’ll enjoy it.

Here at The Appenzell Inn we lament those perfectly beautiful days in spring when few people have come to enjoy it.  That’s why we are offering an additional night free when you stay 2 or more nights until May 25 and we certainly hope you can come and take advantage.

Spend a few days in downtown Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, get close to nature and soak up a little early season sun.  You will be glad you did and so will the staff here at The Appenzell Inn, your Estes Park hotel.  Thank you for your consideration.

Presidents’ Day and Spring Break

Monday, February 14th, 2011

The Appenzell Inn is a romantic Estes Park hotel with special romantic suites geared toward couples, but it’s also family friendly with many larger suites designed to accommodate families.  With Presidents Day weekend coming up and Spring Break times in March, there are many opportunities for couples and families to enjoy The Appenzell Inn property with indoor pool as well as explore downtown Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Our rates at The Appenzell Inn are always competitive for what we offer, and to sweeten the deal we are also offering a free night for stays of two nights or more.  You can hardly afford to stay home.  Give us a call or check rates (before you post your information) and then book on-line.

Thank you for your consideration and we hope to see you soon.

Valentine’s and President’s Day Weekends

Monday, January 31st, 2011

With Valentine’s Day and President’s Day both falling on a Monday, you have two opportunities for a three day weekend.  We are offering a three day stay for the price of two on either weekend, even in our very popular SuiteHeart Lofts.  Can’t stay 3 nights?  For a 2 night stay we will give you a $50 gift cert. for a future stay!

What better way to say I love you than to spend a long weekend away from the routine and enjoying the beauty of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.  Our rooms and Suites at The Appenzell Inn are an affordable extravagance for those who need a little self-indulgence once in a while.  King bed, Fireplace, 2 person in-room Jacuzzi, Indoor Pool, and a friendly staff are waiting for you at your favorite Estes Park hotel, The Appenzell Inn.

Give us a call or book online and thank you for your consideration.
